Empowering Rural Women: A New Skill Development Center

The Kasturba Gandhi National Memorial Trust (KGNMT) has officially inaugurated its new Skill Development Center at the Kasturbagram headquarters in Indore. The program was started with the presence of national board members and local rural community leaders.

The center aims to equip young girls and women from adjacent villages with practical skills that can help them achieve economic independence. The primary courses offered in the first phase are:

• Advanced Tailoring and Fashion Designing
• Basic Computer Applications & Digital Literacy
• Organic Farming & Self-Help Group Management

Speaking on the occasion, the secretary emphasized, "True empowerment happens when rural women can stand on their own feet. By providing these training programs, we are ensuring sustainable income generation for families."
